CITY OF GLENDALE / METROLINK SEEK CLOSURE OF THE DORAN ST RAILROAD CROSSING IN NORTH ATWATER VILLAGE

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), with support from the City of Glendale and Metrolink, is seeking the closure of the railroad crossing at Doran St and San Fernando Rd. CPUC will hold a third Public Participation Hearing on the proposed closure.

PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED CLOSURE OF RAIL CROSSING AT DORAN ST / SAN FERNANDO RD
WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, 6 p.m.
WHERE: City of Glendale, Municipal Services Building, Room 105, 633 E. Broadway, Glendale, Calif.
WHY: To provide local businesses and residents an opportunity to comment on the proposed closure of the existing highway-rail at-grade crossing at West Doran St., south of the 134 freeway between San Fernando Rd. and West San Fernando Rd., on the border of Glendale and Los Angeles.
