Sachem & Glanbrook Gazette Readers respond to "Wind turbines do not cause annoyance"

The Sachem & Glanbrook Gazette website has a letter posted on March 26 that begins:
(In response to “Ontario needs a wind energy moratorium,” March 21)
Many are not aware that a psychological campaign is being waged to suggest that industrial wind turbines affect health and property values.
However, I’m not going to call them industrial wind turbines (IWT), as this term came about after a series of focus groups were used to find a term that frightened people enough to be used by anti-wind energy groups. It is part of their tactics.
I don’t purport to know who is behind it or why, although I am aware there are some very wealthy business people involved, including some of the same people involved with tobacco companies telling us cigarettes were safe.

This Environmental Review Tribunal (ERT) is significant in that it demonstrates the extent to which your government is willing to go to shut down dissent. The director, Ministry of the Environment issues approvals to wind energy project developers and so, in appeals to the tribunal, is a de facto supporter of the developer against all comers.
