Chamber Accepting PACE Business Leadership Award Nominations

The Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce I snow accepting open nominations for the Pensacola Area Commitment to Excellence (PACE) Awards.

PACE Awards are given each year to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the Pensacola Bay area’s business community and who have contributed to its economic progress.

The five categories include the following:

Emerging leader: an individual who recently has shown significant potential for leadership in business or community endeavors and who is expected to continue to have a positive impact on the community. Community leader: a community-minded individual who has distinguished him/herself through outstanding contributions in the form of a special project or service and/or a series of projects or services on behalf of the community and who typifies the true spirit of service. 

Professional leader: an individual associated with a professional firm of one of the following disciplines: accounting, architecture, engineering, legal or marketing. Primary emphasis will be given to long-term professional achievements, service to professional organizations, leadership and a desire to advance the profession. 


Business leader: an individual who exemplifies the qualities of the business visionary. This person has shown outstanding success in business or industry through meaningful contributions to the local business community. Primary emphasis will be given to business achievements including stability, growth or profitability. 

“Spirit of Pensacola:” a special individual who embodies the “Spirit of Pensacola” and who has given many years or a lifetime of service in the business, industry, professional or community field. This person always strives for a better Pensacola and is possessed of strong community.
