In local news, UGI Utilities and the city of Allentown reached a settlement over the 2011 natural gas explosion in Allentown that killed five people. UGI will speed up the replacement of the cast iron pipes and pay a fine of $386,000. "Bodies Revealed" opens this weekend at the Da Vinci Science Center, expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors during its run through February 10.

Facebook has exceeded one billion users, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced yesterday. The social networking site now reaches one out of every 7 people in the world.
