Job Opening - Product Manager in Easton, PA

Product Manager:

This position is located in Easton, PA. We are looking for someone who will coordinate all product management functions including all product development programs.  Provides leadership for a cross functional team while responsible for delivering metrics for time, cost, and quality results.

Previous product management experience with a large retailer is a requirement. Work experience in a team environment and strong English communication skills are required. Proven ability to handle the development of multiple projects (5+) simultaneously. Must have solid financial fundamentals and be able to apply them. Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes and resources in Far East Knowledge of retail environment especially the Mass Merchants. Proven project management skills and experience with driving to schedules and accountability. MS Office. Comfortable in a team environment. 

Salary Range: $50K - $60K

Chamber Seeking Easton & Phillipsburg Area Initiatives Intern


The Chamber of Commerce is an association of businesses and individuals that work to improve the economic conditions and enhance the quality of life in the Easton area through involvement with community organizations and the programming of special events.  The Chamber serves the City of Easton, the City of Phillipsburg, Palmer Township, Forks Township, and Williams Township, Nazareth, the Slate Belt, the Pocono Mountains, and the Boroughs of Wilson, West Easton and Glendon. Aspects of this position include database management, event planning, advertising, public relations and networking with the Easton area business community.

An intern in this position would assist with in planning and executing activities and events to further the growth and development of the Easton area.

       Upbeat, energetic, willing to meet new people and take on new projects.
       Event planning assistance
       Have a strong computer background, including the use of Office and the willingness/adaptability to learn new programs.
       Outbound phone calls to members or potential vendors for events
       Basic office duties including photocopying, typing meeting minutes, etc.
       Must have a drivers license and own transportation.
       Able to work at least 4 hours, but no more than 12 hours per week for part time, and no more than 35 hours per week for a full time internship position. May be asked, but not required to attend events in the evenings.

Member Relations Intern - Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce


Thank you for your interest in interning with the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.  Please find the information regarding the intern position below.

Appropriate majors & career interests:  Communications, Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Planning, Member Relations, Hospitatlity

Time commitment:  A minimum of 8 hours a week, to be fulfilled for one-two full semesters.   This internship is available for college credit, or work experience, only.

Job Description:  Interns would work in one (or more) of the following two areas:

Member Relations:  The Chamber works actively and frequently to connect as much as possible with more than 5,000 members.  Our staff runs programs and events, and conducts research to communicate with our members as much as possible and keep them happy with the level of service they receive from The Chamber.  As such, interns can expect to work in many areas, including:
·         Researching Member Retention programs
·         Assisting in Member Benefit webinars, Making of Member Benefit Kits, and Member Plaque Replacement Program
·         Examining new ways to connect with our membership and ensure a high level of satisfaction
·         Run reports for the Member Relations Staff

Major Events:  The Chamber puts on several Annual Events, which are a value-added experience for our members. This intern will report directly to the Major Events Coordinator at the Chamber, and assist in ensuring that each event is executed excellently. This will include:
  • Learn the steps to planning an event – from deciding on the event purpose and format, to booking the venue, all the way to providing registration for guests on event day.
  • Attending meetings with the Major Events Coordinator, to aid in the booking of the items listed above. The Intern will record the minutes at these Meetings
  • Assisting in all items leading up to each Major Event, including the registration of attendees, printing name tags, powerpoint creation, ensuring proper sponsor recognition, music selection, etc.

Job Opening - Membership and Communications Director at Brookside Country Club


Brookside Country Club is a thriving family-oriented country club located in the western portion of Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, one of the fastest growing areas in the Mid-Atlantic. Founded in 1929, BCC is a full service country club with an 18 hole championship golf course and full practice facilities, an Olympic size swimming pool, 6 tennis courts (2 year-round), fitness center and extensive dining and meeting facilities.  Brookside’s mission is to create a sense of community among its members by providing the highest quality services and facilities in a long-term fiscally responsible manner. 

Brookside is looking for a results-oriented Membership and Communications Director to represent the Club in its membership growth, retention and relationships with members and guests.  In addition, this person will be responsible for communications through the monthly newsletter, club website and emails to keep the members current on events and information pertaining to their Club. 

This position reports to the General Manager and works with the Membership Committee to achieve the goals, objectives and strategic plans of Brookside Country Club.

Membership and Communications DirectorResponsibilities: 

I.  Planning:
  • Plans and implements strategies to meet Club membership goals working in conjunction with the General Manager and the Membership Chairperson.
  • Conducts trend analysis and offers recommendations and programs accordingly.
  • Follows up on telemarketing efforts, member referrals, leads from staff, newspaper articles, neighborhood developments, mailing lists, etc.
  • Determines which markets should be canvassed for qualified individuals to complete and maintain prospective member database in conjunction with the General Manager and Membership Chairperson.
  • Researches the need for on-going sales efforts in regard to changes in demographics, increased competition and fluctuations in membership levels.
  • Tracks the success of all membership recruitment activities.
  • Helps develop departmental budget for membership and entertainment.  Takes corrective action when necessary to meet budgetary goals. 
II. Membership
  • Produces membership information packets for distribution to potential qualified candidates.
  • Hosts prospective member functions and presents membership information at those functions.
  • Conducts tours for prospective members.
  • Conducts orientation programs for new members.
  • Processes all requests for membership.
  • Assists prospective members in fulfilling application requirements.
  • Develops and assures that established procedures for processing prospective member’s applications are consistently followed.
  • Maintains the Club’s database of member files.
  • Maintains past and potential membership candidate files.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all member information. 
III. Committees
  • Serves on the Membership Committee, develops reports and provides other information as needed to the committee.
  • Interacts with the local community through the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and other community organizations to market and network the Club.
  • Attends management and staff meetings as scheduled.
IV. Communication
  • Coordinates the development and production of the Club’s newsletter.
  • Maintains the Club’s website and mobile website.
  • Maintains Clubs member bulletin boards.
  • Maintains Clubs recognition plaques.
  • Undertakes special projects as requested by the General Manager.
  • Posts pictures of events on website and around Club.
  • Other job duties as assigned by management. 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Professional, enthusiastic, outgoing and engaging personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to deal effectively with all levels of management, co-workers, members and prospects.
  • Strong computer skills.
