In state-wide news, Republicans appear to be getting closer to implementing a Marcellus Shale impact fee and updating safety regulations. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court released its opinion on its recent redistricting Friday, arguing that an excess of municipal splits is what made the plan unconstitutional but offering relatively little guidance for prospective plans. Democrats, meanwhile, are contending that Pennsylvania will have to use the 2001 lines in the upcoming primary.
In national news, Mitt Romney easily won the Nevada Caucuses in a low-turnout affair. Three caucuses will be held tomorrow in Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri.
