Daily Briefing, 2/7/2012

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

In Bethlehem Township, two men have been charged with defrauding the municipality of $820,000 for work on streetlights that they never did.  In state-wide news, former Speaker and Democratic leader Bill DeWeese was convicted on five charges related to public corruption.

In national news, Republican caucuses will be held today in Minnesota, Colorado and Missouri.  According to a new study, nearly 1/2 of all Americans received some sort of government assistance.

We have two Chamber events today: a Grand Opening at Molto Pazzo and a PennDOT update from the Greater Northern Chamber of Commerce.
