Donnelly says the NSA's surveillance has protected us from at least one terrorist attack--just one. And it was probably manufactured by our own government since virtually every potential terrorist attack since 9/11 was hatched by the FBI's counter intelligence division. This surveillance Donnelly defends didn't stop the Boston Marathon bombings. Gee, I wonder why?
That's not the only fib you will hear from Donnelly in this interview. He makes the incredulous claim that persons are actually experiencing health insurance premium rate reductions as a result of Obamacare. Those of us who purchase our own health insurance from private insurers are continuing to see our premiums increase at double-digit rates. Don't shove a rusty pole up my ass, Sen. Donnelly, and tell me it feels good. I can't save for my retirement because my health insurance premiums are so outrageously high. The only persons who could possibly see their rates reduced are those persons who have been dumped from a private insurance plan and qualify to purchase their insurance through a government-subsidized plan.
On Syria, he says he visited a refugee camp near the Turkish-Syrian border during a recent trip to Afghanistan. Of course, it's American arms that are funding the bloody civil war that is driving them from their country, a fact Donnelly conveniently omits. Donnelly tells a sob story about how refugees came up to him and told him, "You are our only hope." "It's always the Americans who do what's right," he says they told him. Is that what the people are saying in Afghanistan and Iraq today? Of course, these "refugees" probably got passed money by CIA operatives immediately after Donnelly was out of sight for telling him that sob story. The only saving in his remarks is that he doesn't support sending U.S. troops to Syria. Yet he doesn't oppose the CIA's illegal shipping of arms and the training of terrorist Al Qaeda rebels who are fighting to overthrow the legitimate government in Syria.
