Phillipsburg Mayor Harry Wyant gave his State of the City address yesterday at a Chamber event, where he mostly focused on the town's efforts to purchase the former Ingersoll Rand property. In state-wide news, the Pennsylvania Senate approved its version of the 2012-2013 budget by a 39-8 vote yesterday. Their budget raises revenues by $500 million compared to the Governor's budget. In national news, President Obama came out in favor of same sex marriages yesterday. Senator Bob Casey yesterday said that the federal government should do more to close the wage gap between men and women.
