AWEMA Update : Wales Audit Office report due in Autumn

This week the Wales Audit Office (WAO) published letters exchanged on AWEMA between the Assistant Auditor General Anthony Barrett and Chair of the Welsh Assembly Public Accounts Committee Daran Millar updating the progress of its investigation into AWEMA funding.

The WAO confirmed the final report will be published in the Autumn instead of May or June as initially stated due mainly to the amount of information and investigation required, it will include details of Welsh Government and Welsh European Funding Office funding to AWEMA and if it was spent properly and also the letters also confirmed to Daran Millar and PAC Committee the remit they were given after some apparent misreporting in the press over their remit.
