促腎上腺皮質激素(Adrenocorticotropic hormone, ACTH)

促腎上腺皮質激素縮寫為ACTH。是由腦垂前葉分泌的激素。它具有刺激腎上腺皮質發育和機能的作用。主要作用于腎上腺皮質束狀帶，刺激糖皮質類固醇的分泌。由體外注射過量的皮質激素時，ACTH的分泌會受到抑制，腎上腺皮質發生萎縮。
