Zanabazar temple opens in US

An opening ceremony for the establishment of a Buddhist temple named after Zanabazar, the spiritual leader of Buddhism in Mongolia, was held with over 3000 guests and participants in Sacramento City in USA on October 6th.

During the opening ceremony, a monk from the Zanabazar temple, G.Damchaabazar stated that the new temple aims to help Mongolians who live and study permanently in North America. It aims to save traditional religious belief and customs and pass on the tradition and unique cultural values to a new generation.

There were several events held thanking people who donated to the fund and made contributions for the decoration of the new temple. Performances of Mongolian song and dance and the horse head fiddle were staged for the audience and guests.
