In a stunning turn of events the Oppose Belwood Wind Farm Association (OBWF), a grass roots community group fighting wind turbines receives Environmental Excellence Award, at the Centre Wellington Awards Ceremony, held May 16th.Continue reading at OPPOSE BELWOOD WIND FARM
OBWF has become an environmental watchdog highlighting risks of wind industrialization to local land owners, the general community, the municipality and all levels of government. The group facilitated information sessions and community involvement in wind company consultation meetings. They bundled the voices of concerned community members into strong action by protesting the current policies at Queen’s Park and other venues. As a result thousands of people became educated on the environmental risks of unbridled and essentially unregulated wind industrialization.
