Steve Dolson claims the vibrant livestock industry and related support businesses could be at risk.
Dolson explains no one seems to know what the impact of a large wind development on livestock will be and does not want the area to be a test case.
He contends some urban politicians do not understand rural Ontario so it is important to send a clear message about the prime agricultural land and vibrant local livestock industry involved.

Prior to the construction of the wind turbines, this area of Huron-Kinloss Township southwest of the village of Ripley was largely used for cash cropping but also included a large beef operation and two horse farms. Both livestock operations are now gone.
