Obama: "Unfortunate" That You're More Likely To Die In A Car Accident Than A Terrorist Attack
President Barack Obama made another one of his celebrity appearances on the Jay Leno Show last night. In discussing the threat of terrorism, Obama made this jaw-dropping obervation: "The odds of people dying in a terrorist attack are still a lot lower than in a car accident, unfortunately." He's disappointed that there aren't more people dying in terrorist attacks? Call it a slip of the tongue or whatever, the statement went right over the head of ABC News' Jonathan Karl in this report. Karl, a White House reporter, seems not at all disappointed that the President's first public comments about the latest heightened state of terrorist alert that has led his administration to close dozens of U.S. embassies around the world is to a late-night entertainment host as opposed to the White House press corp. Obama flippantly suggested that Russia's decision to grant asylum to NSA whistle blower Edward Snowden was a "slip back into Cold War thinking." Yeah, Obama would rather see Snowden executed or sent to prison for life in the U.S. than live free in another country while fighting to protect our fundamental rights that he is determined to write out of the U.S. Constitution. It makes you wonder on which side of the Cold War Obama is fighting. Any source
