Daily Briefing, 9/25/12

Good morning! Today is National One Hit Wonder Day, and in honor of the day here's a video of one of the most popular one-hit-wonder songs ever from Mr. Benny Mardones. Who's that, you ask? Give the video a play and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. (I was going to link to the Macarena, but I'm not going to subject you to that this early in the morning.)

Today is also the second to last day to plan your Wednesday night. Celebrate the fall season in style tomorrow night with the Chamber as we kick off the Celtic Classic with a beer tasting event and wing eating contest from 5 - 7. Find out more here.

In local news, our staff was excited to hear about the fact that Harry Connick Jr. is in town to work with the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre to work on his upcoming musical production. If you happen to see him, let us know! Bethlehem Township will vote on a plan to develop a 470,000 office and retail park, including a hotel, sometime next month. In a more bizarre twist on local news, a squirrel was the cause of a loss of power to Muhlenberg College and hundreds of homes on Allentown's West End yesterday.

That's it for now, enjoy your Tuesday! If you're not already a fan of The Chamber on facebook, what are you waiting for? It's the best way to stay up to date on Chamber events that will help you network your business.
