Memorial Service Held for LAFD Captain Matthew McKnight

LOS ANGELES - A well-attended memorial service was held today in Westlake Village, to honor fallen Los Angeles Fire Department Captain/Paramedic Matthew G. McKnight.

Captain McKnight died suddenly while on duty August 12, 2013 at the LAFD Metropolitan Fire Communication Center, where he supervised the life safety needs of America's second largest City.

Captain McKnight, age 51 - a thirty-one year veteran of the LAFD, is survived by a wife and two young children, as well as two brothers who are active-duty City of Los Angeles Firefighters.
