Daily Briefing, 5/1/2012

Good morning everyone!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

After four straight months of gains, momentum in the Valley's job market slowed, though unemployment did drop to 7.9%.  The Bethlehem Area School Board agreed to increase taxes $163 for the average property owner.  The Easton Area School District unveiled its financial forecast that predicts more layoffs and tax hikes. In state-wide news, a new asset limit goes into effect today on those who can receive food stamps.  In national news, the new World Trade Center 1 once again became the largest building in New York City. Today is the one year anniversary of the raid in Pakistan that killed Osama Bin Laden.
