Daily Briefing, 2/29/2012

Good morning everyone, and happy Leap Day!  Here is today's Daily Briefing.

Frontier Airlines is coming to the Lehigh Valley International Airport, offering flights to Orlando starting in May.  Cenveo is closing in Wilson Borough, resulting in about 200 layoffs.  The Allentown NIZ zone will generate $7 million in tax revenue for half of this year - more than enough to pay the annual $11 million in debt service.

In state-wide news, a law goes into effect next week that bans texting while driving in Pennsylvania.

In national news, Mitt Romney scored two wins yesterday, cruising to victory in Arizona and eking out a victory in Michigan.  In Maine, moderate Republican Olivia Snowe announced her retirement.  The stock market closed above 13,000 yesterday.  A CNN article takes a look at why the price of oil is rising.

We have three Chamber events today, all mixers - one at American Hairlines in Bethlehem, one at Melt in Center Valley and one in Allentown.
