The Glassell Park Chamber of Commerce, a 501 (c) 6 non-profit organization founded in 2003, has changed its name to the Northeast Los Angeles Gateway Chamber of Commerce. The newly renamed Chamber also plans to refocus their attention on broader economic issues outside of the Glassell Park community. They hope to serve as an umbrella business advocacy group for Northeast Los Angeles, including Atwater Village.
The name and focus change effectively leaves Glassell Park without a chamber of commerce exclusively dedicated to promoting the business and general economic wellbeing in that community.
