腦排鈉利尿胜肽(Brain Natriuretic Peptide, BNP)

腦排鈉利尿胜肽(Brain Natriuretic Peptide, BNP)在心室中製造，當心肌伸展或是心室張力異常時（volume expansion and pressure overload）會釋放到血液中
一、功能
A. 排鈉利尿、擴張血管
B. 腎素─血管收縮素─醛固酮系統（RAAS）的拮抗作用
二、特性
A. 半衰期只有20分鐘
B. 隨著年齡增長釋放越多
三、正常值
A. 年輕人：14.4 pg/ml以下
B. 壯年人：40-50 pg/ml
C. 不正常：> 100 pg/ml
四、BNP的敏感度很高，有三個大研究顯示，有心衰竭症狀的病人92%~98%會測出BNP>80 pg/ml；但其特異性(specifity)不高，也就是測出BNP不正常的病人只能知道有心臟方面的疾病，其他還需要做更多的檢查以確定診斷。因為敏感度很好，BNP可以說是非心臟科或急診醫師診斷心臟病的利器之一
